Terrain Park Overview

Ski Sundown offers two terrain parks for various skill levels, and one learning park for little groms or those who are brand new to park skiing and riding.

A popular  Introduction to the Terrain Park program launched last season to teach students park safety, park etiquette, and ATML techniques (Approach, Take-off, Maneuver, Landing).  The goal is to develop a confidant freestyle enthusiast who will continue to develop new skills and bag of tricks at their own pace on graduated terrain.

Our park on Tom's Treat, one of our easier trails, is for beginner and intermediate park skiers and snowboarders.  It typically features smaller, lower features where you can continue your learning curve - flat rails, kinked rails, corrugated tubes, boxes and small jumps and jibs.  Features and layout are always changing, keeping it fresh!  Our new Girls Rock the Park rail jam is held on Tom's Treat.

Our more advanced terrain park is located on Stinger, a black diamond trail (most difficult).  This is a flowing park created by the insatiable minds of our terrain park staff.   Features include, but are not limited to:  C-rails, S-Rails, Lift Towers, a 32 foot Down Rail, Cannon Rails, the Un-Bow, Barrels...and we link 'em with jibs and jumps that will send you to new heights! Rail Jams are held throughout the season in the park on Stinger.
