Inclusive adventure awaits
Summit Adaptive Sports is a nonprofit providing ski and snowboard lessons to individuals of all ages with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities. PSIA-trained adaptive volunteers offer one-on-one instruction tailored to each participant’s goals, abilities, and learning style.
Lesson Categories: hearing/visual impairments, developmental disabilities, three- and four-track for mobility impairments, and sit, mono, and bi-skiing. Lessons are available weekends and select weekdays by advance reservation only.
How to Participate:
1. Visit summitadaptive.org to complete your registration form and waiver.
2. Once approved, call the Ski Sundown Welcome Center at (860) 379-7669 ext. 211 to book your lesson. Reservations are charged in full at booking; no refunds issued. Rescheduling is free up to 48 hours in advance; a $25 fee applies within 48 hours.

Private Adaptive Lesson
- 2 ½ hours of instruction (w/ equipment fitting)
- Adaptive and/or standard ski/sb equip.
- Lift ticket
Tues/Weds/Thurs: 3PM, 5:30PM
Weekends/Holidays*: 9:30AM, 1PM
Handicap parking available. Ticket available for purchase for one accompaning adult.

For Veterans and Active Military
Free Adaptive Lesson!
Veterans and active members of the Armed Services who have permanent disabilities are elegible for participation in the VA Adaptive Sports Grant Program. This program offers participants a free skiing or snowboarding lesson with adaptive equipment and coaching. Sponsorship is provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs and Move United.
